What to Expect
First, you’ll complete some paperwork in my portal. Next, we will schedule the first visit.
Visit 1: The intake
Format: Virtual
Duration: Approximately 1 hour
What Happens: I will ask a bunch of questions to get background information and clarify the question(s) and/or concern(s) you have.
Purpose: This helps me make a good recommendation to you about areas to assess and what other information should be gathered.
Who Should Attend:
For child patients: Only parent(s) or legal guardian(s) unless otherwise arranged. Children should not attend this visit.
For adult patients: Only the patient.
Payment: If paying privately, $250 is collected on or before the appointment.
Visit 2: Testing
Format: Usually in-person
Duration: 2-4 hours (including built-in breaks).
What Happens: I will administer some structured thinking or problem-solving activities, questionnaires, and we will chat for a bit.
Purpose: This helps me learn more about you, including areas of strength and areas for growth.
Who Should Attend: Only the patient and I are in the testing room together. Breaks may be taken if needed.
Payment: If paying privately, half of the remaining costs is collected on or before the appointment.
Visit 3: Feedback
Format: Virtual
Duration: Approximately 1 hour
What Happens: I will relay my diagnostic findings, assessment results, and recommendations. We will talk in-depth to ensure you have a good understanding and all questions are answered.
Purpose: To ensure you have a good understanding of the findings and have actionable next steps.
Who Should Attend:
For child patients: I generally meet with parent(s) or legal guardian(s) first. I am happy to meet with children afterwards, if you would like.
For adult patients: Generally only the patient, unless other arrangements are made.
Payment: If paying privately, the last half of remaining costs is collected on or before the appointment.
